Nostalgia Nationals 2016
It’s been a couple of years since we last went to the NSRA Nostalgia Nationals at Shakespeare County Raceway, but despite the weather report we decided to head down.
Unfortunately most of the first day was a washout, with a light sprinkling of rain starting every time the track dried out! What it did mean was that we were able to catch up with some of the people we don’t get to see very often. Sunday was a lot better, the track was open almost all day (unfortunately rain stopped play with an hour to go) and we were able to have a walk around the pits & some of the campsite without getting soaked.
This weekend also saw the inaugural “Tri-Chevy Shootout” organised by Graham Smith – it seemed to be extremely well received and there were some seriously fast cars entered, take a look at the bright green Belair below!
Finally, a big thanks to Joel Kerr (with the STP Firebird) for letting us take shelter in his motorhome throughout the weekend!
This is just a selection of my favourite images. If you’re looking for specific photos and can’t see them here, please try our Facebook page for the full gallery.
