British Superbikes – Round 1 (Donington)
This was our first visit to both British Superbikes & Donington Park since 2009 & I’m glad to report that even after all the work which was carried out to the circuit to try & make it F1 standard, it hasn’t lost its charm!
We started the day up at Redgate for the opening KTM RC Cup race, before making our way down the Craner Curves (taking in the Ducati TriOptions Cup on the way) & ended up down at the Old Hairpin for the Superstock 600 and 1000 races and the first British Superbikes race. For future reference, there was a food van down there which did excellent toasted sandwiches!!
We started making our way back up the hill & watched the second BSB race from the marshall point on the entrance to Redgate, before making our way back towards the car park & watched the 2nd KTM RC Cup race from the Melbourne Hairpin.
